Good News & Bad News...
Let's start with the good news because that will help you to understand the bad news. Okay, are ya ready? Here it goes... I'm prego. Yep. With child. Got a bun in the oven. I'm still trying to believe it myself. Not that it was a total surprise per say, but let's just say this little guy was a one-hit-wonder.
Now for the bad news (and for me the really sad news); being in the kitchen seriously makes me wanna throw up on myself. Something about the smells and the refrigerator just send me running from old best friend!
You guys may have noticed my posting slowing down a bit... now you know why. So, the really bad news is that I am not going to be able to post all of the Turkey Day videos I was hoping to share this year. It's just not going to happen. I've tried a few times to do some practice recipes, but the only results I've had are watching the ingredients wither away in my fridge... it's really sad.
Now on a more positive note, my husband and I have been playing around with the idea of role reversal. I hold the camera and coach him along as he demonstartes the recipe. He likes the idea so we just might give it a go, but I don't want to make any solid promises. I just need a little wiggle room in the next few weeks to figure out how I wanna go about it! But I'll keep you posted.
Back to the good news... I've only got a few more weeks until I'm out of trimester numero uno and word on the street is once you get intot your second trimester you're back to your old self, so that's what I'm banking on!! If all goes as planned I'll be back in the kitchen in just a few weeks.
So that's my story in a nutshell, I promise to keep you posted on whatever it is I decide to do next;).

Dani,
The good news far outweighs the bad! I want to wish you and your little bun (who is probably as darling and healthy as an Ezekiel sprouted bun) a glowing and healthy pregnancy. I'm always excited by the new recipes here, but I am equally as thrilled to be congratulating you on this news. I'll post a holiday recipe on my (long neglected) blog in your honor - tomorrow is Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. The food part is implicit :)
Best to you and your family!

Wow! Congratulations, that's great! Yeah, the morning sickness (or all day sickness) is USUALLY gone by the second trimester. With my first pregnancy it didn't wane until about the 17th or 18th week, but still....there's hope! You'll be back in the kitchen soon enough :)

This is great news. Congratulations! I wish you a healthy and smooth pregnancy.
I just found your website 2 weeks ago and it is REALLY good. The videos are helpful and so informative. I've made the turkey chili and turkey meatloaf. Yummy! There is so much here that it will take me months to go through. I look forward to your return soon. May I suggest something? Maybe you can do a blog of your pregnancy and eats? I enjoy reading your posts because I find that you have a very positive and cheerful personality.
In the meantime, take it easy and take care of yourself and your precious bump.

Congratulations, Dani! Babies are such a blessing =) I keep getting that maternal urge myself, and I don't plan on having kiddos for several more years - I envy you, though! I know the little one will be absolutely adorable, and will be dining on the finest meals too, no doubt! His/her friends will always be asking to come over... I see it happening, way off in the future. Once again, congratulations =D

Wonderful! What a great blessing! Enjoy every minute of being pregnant and all that life now is going to offer you both.
I know this sounds so old - but really enjoy each moment because it seriously goes by in the blink of an eye - and I'm not even 30 yet.
Congratulations to you both and the Grandparents to be!

That is fabulous! In my experience it really does seem like a switch is thrown at the end of the 1st Trimester so take heart. I know I became very close friends with bland crackers and watered down unfiltered apple juice for the first few.

Wish you well and congrats! You seem to adapt so well, I'll bet you do to anything.
Want to thank you for the wonderful recipes and videos. Am in transition to veggie world, but want to keep it flexible. Today, I went the Aladdin Restaurant and had a falafel pita salad. My gosh. Brought 2/3 of it home. Thing is I really liked the falafel. Why is it so hard for me to like the lemon thing instead of vinegar. I feel better after it, it's FRESH...oh, well, one step at a time.

How wonderful! Congratulations to you both, yes that morning sickness (more like ALL DAY) can be a bummer but of course in the end it's all worth it! I remember those days, I carried a package of crackers with me wherever I went...I felt like a squirrel, I had them stashed EVERYWHERE! lol We can certainly take a backseat and patiently await your return. Best Wishes to you and your precious lil one!
