Introducing.... "KidBites"

Introducing.... "KidBites"
This proud Mama is happy to announce that food is now a part of Katie's world (a time that I have been eagerly awaiting)!  And with that comes a whole new section of the blog that will be dedicated to making...

anything AND everything I can get Katie to put into her mouth (well, almost everything!).

You'll notice a new blue tab up above labeled "KidBites".  This is where I'll be posting all "kid-related food".  The recipes will reflect the stages that Katie is at in her world of eating so while I am starting with purees and mashes, as she grows, so will the kid-friendly recipes.

These recipes will never be featured on the home page SO you will have to click on the "KidBite tab" if you are interested in kid-friendly food (or if you'd just like to see more pictures of Katie!).

This will a learning experience for Katie and I both so we would appreciate ANY and ALL tips, ideas, hints, clues, feedback, etc. that you all may have!

Now go check out our first "KidBite" recipe... "Sweet Potato Puree"... and let's let the games begin!

Comments

Just found your website, love it! My second child is now 7 months old and we've been having fun making baby food. I also made my older son's food and will be putting recipes up on my new blog soon. In the meantime, try putting some cinnamon or ginger in the sweet potato puree for a different flavor, you can do the same with apples and any other fruit or veggie you puree. I cook with a lot of spices (I'm half Turkish), so I try to get my kids used to the various flavors early on - even black pepper. Just stay away from the salt. Nico (the 7 month old)'s favorite dish is a veggie soup that has onions, garlic, pepper, and a bunch of veggies pureed together with buttermilk. He loves it!
